Safety and your child’s data
Your child’s privacy, taken seriously.
You’re trusting us with information about your child. We treat that the way we’d want ours treated: minimally, carefully, and under South African law (POPIA).
- You’re in control.You set up your child’s profile and give consent. We ask for a first name, a grade and what they love. That’s it.
- We collect as little as possible.Only what’s needed to make the work.
- Photos don’t stick around.A photo you upload is used to make the pack and then deleted, held no longer than a day.
- Where it’s stored, plainly.Your family’s information is held by our database provider in the European Union. Our privacy notice explains how it’s protected when it leaves South Africa.
- We never sell data.Not to advertisers, not to anyone.
- You can leave with your data.Delete your account, or ask for an export, anytime.
One honest detail. To create the work, parts of it are processed by a trusted AI service that may operate outside South Africa. We minimise what’s sent, we don’t include more about your child than necessary, and your consent covers this. Our privacy notice spells it out.

Yiply grew out of real learning-support work, the daily craft of helping a child who’s capable but stuck, without ever making them feel less-than. The materials that worked for one child became the method behind Yiply.
